HERA, THE GODDESS OF MARRIAGE

text describing the image

“The Olympians are no longer divided. Hera has now bent them all by her entreaties, and troubles hang over the Trojans” this is the quote in book two that I read that makes me say that Hera is not fair/equal whenever she goes for battle. It is clearly stated that Hera did everything to make the Trojans be in trouble.

So, I beg to disagree with this statement because of her actions in books 1-5. Hera was not with the side of the Trojans so this means that she is not fair with the Trojans. Here is another scene that proves she not equal whenever she goes for battle.

Another scene in book four made me believe that she is not fair whenever she goes for battle. It is when she wants the Trojans to break the oath. Hera knows that when the Trojans breaks the oath, Gods will be on the side of the Menalaus’ army. With these actions, I can say that Hera is not equal whenever she goes for battle.

Definitely, Hera manifests biases in the Trojan war. She could have remained impartial yet she did not do so.

    Good work!
